Volunteer Opportunities
As a volunteer in Bright Horizons, with the simple act of reading to these older adults, building puzzles together, making crafts projects, or just having a quiet conversation, one-on-one, you will help them maintain their social and intellectual skills and improve their quality of life.
You can also help out with or lead daily group activities such as arts and crafts, singing and dancing, karaoke, gardening, field trips to museums, parks, restaurants, bowling, and fun-filled shopping trips, bingo, auctions, balloon volleyball, and other games, current events discussions, movies, trivia, storytelling & remembrance activities.
By volunteering as a driver for morning transportation to the program (8 to 9:30 a.m.) or for afternoon transportation home, you will give seniors (and their families) the opportunity to become a member of Bright Horizons by reducing the daily stress and rush of getting ready in the morning. As a volunteer driver for monthly field trips (time commitment varies), you can also provide these seniors with beneficial recreational activities in the community.
